I am so glad that Professor has taught me Evernote in the first class. It turns out a fancy tool for helping me both for academics and daily life. I created a notebook for this class. I use Evernote to take notes in class. Because of language barrier, I was focused in class, trying to catch up everyone's speech. I took notes on what everyone have talked, mostly some topics I didn't understand or English words I did not understand. I remembered one time when Professor talked about some rules for being a teacher. "Kids are kids, you couldn't make fiends",this saying arose me a lot of thinking, so I quickly typed in the note, then Professor talked about some situations that teacher might encounter and how to protect himself like always leave the door open when staying with students alone. This picture shows a class note I took on July 15 in class on the right side. One the left side, mostly are articles I clipped.
For Web Clipper, I use it mostly for collecting articles. I learned from Professor and tagged articles like "JJ-Edu-technology" (J refers to Journal), "NN-Edu-iPads-Specail Education"(N refers to News)."BB-rein of error-Chapter 17". It helped me gather all articles which are helpful with what I am going to write about. By using tags, it helps me to find articles easier. Besides basic notes taking, I share my notes and notebooks with the button share. I created my evernote email address, every time I found something interesting, I could use emails besides web clipper. It is convenient when using iPads. I could export notes for emailing and printing. I felt so happy every time I clip something I like. However, Later, with lots of information in my notebooks, I felt a little overwhelmed, like I was sorting lots of pictures from camera. Tags help a lot, but I use another notebook to clear related notes together, by gathering their links together and give a small introduction on the link. Only in that way can I really link everything together not just clip, and leave them aside. I like Evernote, and I use it everywhere, I have a cooking and drawing notebook now. I think for any notes, sorting and resorting is always the key, just like cleaning rooms, you have to take care and clean.
